Meet our team

Aspired Education have an excellent team of staff, with years of experience in education, welfare and business. The core management team lead the successful delivery of our services across the different areas of the UK and China, with each area vital for our success.

Steph Gilbert

UK Director & DSL

Steph’s worked with international students for over a decade, in a variety of roles including student welfare, administration and operations. With her specialism in policy, compliance and safeguarding, she ensures that Aspired Education are continually exceeding the requirements of a successful Guardianship Company, ensuring that we’re meeting the legal, safeguarding and educational requirements for all relevant parties. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead she works with schools, parents, host families and other agencies to ensure the best possible support for our students. Steph manages our team of highly trusted Host Families, ensuring that they meet our requirements to provide the best environment for our students to live in.

Daniel Wellings

Advisory Chair

Daniel is an experienced leader within the education world having been Executive Chairman of a number of British Independent schools, and a Director of Greene’s College, Oxford. Alongside his role as the non executive Chairman of The Divergent School Group, Daniel supports Aspired Education with his oversight, experience and network to facilitate the best possible outcomes for the students under our care. His experience as a school Chairman with oversight and responsibility to the UK Government and the Department of Education for safeguarding and other statutory requirements of schools is an invaluable resource in the implementation of a first rate guardianship service for your child

Caroline Cox

North East Coordinator

Caroline is an experienced Youth Worker, having previously worked with Hull Council to support children and families as part of the early intervention team. She has been a Local Support Officer with Oxbridge Group Ltd for 6 years, and works closely with students and host families to offer valuable support, advice and insight during student’s stays. She loves to make connections with hosts and students which benefit the students wellbeing and progress, and facilitates group meetups as well as supporting at in school events. Caroline is a very friendly and communicative lady, who enjoys her work with our students alongside her commitments as a parent, grandparent and of course with her lovely dog.

Caroline Cheasty

London & the South Coordinator

Caroline is an experienced Social Worker; specialising in adults with mental health needs and so she has vast amounts of expertise in working with vulnerable people, and supporting mental health issues which are beneficial for our students. Alongside her Social Work, and working with Oxbridge Group Ltd as a Local Support Officer, Caroline is also a wonderful host family with us, offering her hospitality for long and short term students. She is very friendly and able to listen to and support students with a range of issues. She is confident and capable in any emergency and is able to support and help students to develop as they wish to do so. She often supports other hosts in her area, as well as visiting schools for academic updates as required. Caroline enjoys her role as she feels it allows her to build great relationships with her students, and they often note that they feel part of her family; as her daughters are very sociable and friendly also.

Robert & Trish

North West Coordinator

Robert & Trish are a married couple who work together as Local Support Officers with Oxbridge Group Ltd. With a background in property management and development, Robert and Trish specialise in Host Family support and development; and are also host’s themselves. Over the 8 years that they have been working with Oxbridge Group Ltd, they have been able to forge wonderful relationships with students, parents and hosts alike, even visiting some students when travelling in China! They demonstrate a very friendly, welcoming and supportive home away from home, and as part of their role with Oxbridge always place they student at the forefront of all they do. In their free time they love to travel with their daughter Olivia, as well as visiting friends and family locally.

Lily

Accounts Administrator

Lily graduated from University of York and then got her Masters degree from University College London. During her time at University, she served as an international student ambassador, providing international students with support in life and study. At Oxbridge Group, Lily has a dual role as Accounts Administrator, and Support Officer for some of our students. She has a wealth of guardianship experience, and supports with general administration also.
